Well hello there! Welcome to my little corner of the web and one of your stops on the Charm Box Quilt Blog Hop hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop.
So you want to make a cute quilt…..but feel like there’s not enough time in the day. We are all busy with our families, our jobs and whatever else comes our way.. Let’s face it…. life gets busy and time gets away from us. #waytofast #slowdownlife
The Fat Quarter Shop has designed a short cut quilt series that makes it easy for us to finish a quilt in a short amount of time using pre-cuts and one of their simple but fun patterns.
Their newest short cut series is called the Charm Box Quilt and you can download their free pattern for yourself and watch a video tutorial here.
I used Fresh Air charm packs by American Jane for the quilt top but you can pick up a Charm Box Quilt Kit over at the Fat Quarter Shop. Sometimes it’s nice having the fabric already picked out for you, especially when it’s Aloha Girl by Fig Tree. #summerysweetness
Additional Fabric Used: The low volume sashing is Noteworthy by Sweetwater, backing is Milk Cow Kitchen by Mary Jane and the binding is a scallop print by Thimbleblossoms. I love mixing fabric lines together. Don’t you?
After making the Charm Box Quilt, Lily and I had a little fun using the extra charms.
She layed out them out on the floor and designed her very own patchwork quilt. #sewnbymommy #shesonly3
So don’t forget to take the time to create quilty memories for your family. No day is promised to us.
Thank you Fat Quarter Shop for saving us a little time with your short cut quilt series.
This is so so sweet!! I need to make one for an expectant mom in our care group and this would be perfect!!
This is so cute! I should make a bigger one with one of my girls. They always want to sew with me and this would be a good one they could help me with!
That would be fun! Make sure you tag me when you get started. xoxo
This is the sweetest!! The pattern looks fun too!!!
thank you for this, its darling and so are you!
So sweet!! What fabric did you use for the background?
I used a low volume print from Sweetwater’s Noteworthy. The backing is from Milk Cow Kitchen.
Pretty quilt. Love that you involved Lily, cute little girl.
