Can you guess what I am making?
If you guessed burp clothes for this little twiddlebug….you guessed right. It’s a must have for new moms and let’s face it….it’s definitely more fun to make your own.
Now excuse me, whilst I go squeeze those cheeks.

As promised, Lily’s finished nursery.
I wanted something a little less “traditional” this time around, so I started with the bedding and went from there.
Crib from Walmart.
Bedding from JCPenney.
Mobile & bear from Babies R Us.
Lily’s name was a little DIY project I worked on one rainy Saturday. It’s actually very simple to make your child’s name. You can pick up unfinished wood lettering at just about any craft store, fairly inexpensive. Even less expensive if you bring a coupon and buy the letters one at a time. Which I may or may not have done.
I took this wicker rocker from our front porch. I am a big believer in using things from other parts of the house if needed.
Night table was a great find from The Christmas Tree Shoppe.
Lamp from Pottery Barn Kids.
The original cushion from the wicker rocker was covered with a crib sheet from Target. Thank you Grandma for this spur of the moment sewing project I asked you to do.
I have recently ordered myself a sewing machine.
Oh how I love how this room has turned out.
Inspired of course by my love of Pottery Barn Kids.
Drawers filled with jammies that we saved from Emily & a few new things of course.
Dresser/changing table also from Walmart.
Canvas storage from Target.
Decals were the finishing touch. I ordered them online to match the crib bedding.
It has been a lot of fun decorating Lily’s nursery. I have learned that if you take your time….things will really turn out exactly how you want. Maybe even better.
A {not so clear} sneek peek at Lily.
Soon to make her arrival.
Weighing in around 6lbs. 7oz. as of today.
Very active.
Chubby cheeks.
Precious baby girl.
Who has me eating endless amounts of Popsicles.
