A Day in the Park with Barney & seeing him in real life. It doesn’t get much better than that for a little girl who lives for her DVD’s. They have a sweet little park set up outside the theater. I wonder if they would come to my house and make one like that? wink wink.
Outside the attraction stands a very large sign that reads A Day in the Park with Barney. The back says, Thanks for coming to play!
The park was beautiful and calm and had benches for you to sit down and relax if you want. There was a water fountain and in the center stood a bronze Barney statue.
Emily loved the inside play area. It resembled a park with tree houses and had an activity area for the kids.
At the theater entrance, the doors were covered with an artificial waterfall and over to the side was an old wooden house covered with pipes, knobs and doors. The show starts with Mr. Peek a Boo and his parrot telling the kids to use their imagination.
Inside the theater it looks like a park with benches and images of trees and birds on the walls. Front row park bench for Emily. Disney and Universal really know how to treat a wish kid right.
Is it weird that I was just as excited to see Barney. Ok, let’s keep that a secret. I could barely take my eyes off the little girls as they watched Barney, Baby Bop and BJ singing and dancing on stage. Their smiles were priceless.
This was our very first family trip & a chance to sort of “stop real life” and go have some fun. Together.
Come to find out….all the proceeds from the Barney attraction at Universal, benefit Give Kids the World {where we stayed}. Seriously….that just made the Barney park all the sweeter to us.
